Tucked away on a quiet, tree-lined street, this Scandinavian-inspired home was designed by Michaelis Boyd Associates, with interiors by Louise Holt.
The property was stripped back to its original Victorian shell to allow for major structural alterations, including relocating the staircase to the centre of the home, lowering the basement floor, and adding a glazed extension to the rear of the raised ground floor.
A neutral, warm aesthetic was achieved through a thoughtfully curated palette of materials, including lye-washed oak floors and joinery, tadelakt plaster and concrete cladding, and glazed partitions with powder-coated metal framework. The result is a series of calm, light-filled spaces, thoughtfully designed for modern living – a testament to the successful collaboration between the client, design team and ACT.
