ACT has secured a prestigious RoSPA Gold Award for Health and Safety excellence. This achievement highlights our culture of care and strong commitment to creating the safest working environments.

Proactive problem-solving is essential to successfully navigate the structural and sequencing challenges that custom stone staircases often present. Mid-way through a renovation project in South Kensington, our client requested a cantilevered limestone staircase. This required significant modifications to the surrounding spine walls in order to make this feature possible, together with extensive engineering, stone strength testing and a clever steel pocketing design to mitigate the requirement for thicker walls.

ACT transforms underutilised spaces beneath homes into functional, beautifully designed areas. In a sizeable and complex residential basement construction project in the heart of Chelsea, our team and trusted supply chain successfully navigated multiple challenges to deliver the project on-schedule and to exact specification. 
 
This site required multiple interventions, from temporarily supporting the property off its foundations to drawing out the equivalent of ten Olympic swimming pools of water to enable the basement excavation and construction works to take place safely.

As the main contractor for this high-end residential project, ACT was responsible for carrying out extensive structural modifications. Initially, only minor roofing work was planned, but our investigations revealed severe deterioration, requiring a full roof replacement. This unexpected challenge allowed us to enhance the property with premium materials and modern features, ensuring long-term durability, sustainability and aesthetic appeal.
