October 2025 Round Up

ACT

October was a month built on care: for our communities, our colleagues and our craft. From supporting Londoners in need, to enhancing on-site safety with new digital tools and putting the finishing touches to our new office space designed around our people, progress at ACT in October meant showing how we look after one another.

Giving Back with City Harvest

Last month, ACT took part in the City Harvest Giving Day, joining a citywide effort to tackle food poverty across London. Thanks to everyone who donated from our sites and office, we collected 120 kilograms of food, equivalent to 286 meals!  These supplies have been distributed to community organisations in the capital who are feeding some of our most vulnerable residents, offering vital services to those in need.

Expansion of ACT’s Design and Document Control Team

October saw ACT’s onboarding session with 1Breadcrumb, as we continue to optimise our Health and Safety practices and procedures.

The platform allows us to move away from manual, paper-based systems and streamline training and onboarding by integrating with Procore. This will not only save time but also enable real-time visibility of who’s on site, improving efficiency and supporting a rapid response in case of emergencies.

By embracing digital tools like 1Breadcrumb, we are continuing to strengthen our proactive, data-driven approach to Health and Safety, building on our success earlier this year in achieving the RoSPA Gold Award. We’re excited to see how this collaboration will help us further evidence our core value of safety as we roll out this new system across ACT.

Spotlight on Sites

Across our projects this month, ACT teams have shown that care is also about precision and pride in the way we build. From structural milestones to exemplary organisation, October has been a strong month on site.

At Maida Vale, around 45 cubic metres of concrete were poured to form the lower ground floor slab above the new basement. The basement will soon be cleared of its propping system, paving the way for waterproofing to begin as the structural phase nears completion.

Momentum is also building at a detached villa in the Holland Park Conservation Area, where extensive structural works are underway across all levels. Large steel box sections have been installed, and with the old roof now removed, the new steel and timber framework is taking shape alongside new brick and blockwork.

In Victoria, the team is setting the standard for craftsmanship and coordination. From meticulous ceiling plasterwork to perfectly prepared tiling areas, every sequence has been well thought out and carefully organised. The result is a site that embodies discipline, teamwork and genuine pride in the build process.

These achievements are a reminder that exceptional outcomes are the product of care, collaboration and consistency our teams bring to every project.

Our New HQ: Where Care Meets Craft

In November, we’re looking forward to a major milestone: the reopening of our Hammersmith Head Office.

This bright, carefully considered workspace has been designed around our people, featuring thoughtful details that make us feel at home. From a stylish hospitality area to craftsmanship in every finish, our new environment is designed to bring out the best in our growing team, reflecting ACT’s commitment to care and wellbeing. Look out for photos and videos from move-in day on our social channels!

Thanks for reading, and see you again next month!
