November 2024 Round Up

Inspired by the U.S. tradition of Thanksgiving, it’s the perfect time to express our gratitude for the incredible team that makes our organisation thrive. From welcoming new faces to celebrating milestones, November was all about growth, collaboration and fun traditions!

We hit the ground running with several new sites commencing in Belgravia, Chelsea and Regent’s Park, and worked hard across the board to set up our projects for a strong finish to the year. It’s been especially rewarding to see work progressing ahead of schedule thanks to our proactive approach and advanced problem-solving skills. At one of our west London sites, the team has successfully navigated restrictive access and tackled challenging logistics to achieve faster-than-expected progress – a true testament to their can-do ethos.

We love a good reason to host a gathering, and completion of a new roof provided just that! Bringing a piece of New Zealand tradition to Notting Hill, the Team Roof Shout celebration marked a key milestone and thanked all our project partners for a fantastic team effort.

In some exciting construction news of our own, work has officially begun on ACT’s new headquarters! Our thoughtfully designed new office space is set to provide an inspiring environment where colleagues, clients and consultants can feel at home. At ACT, we understand that buildings are so much more than just bricks and mortar – our new workspace will underpin our culture of teamwork and shape how we collaborate to achieve shared goals. We’re excited to create an environment where everyone can thrive and perform at their best. Stay tuned for more updates!

Continuing with the theme of collaboration, November featured our final Town Hall of 2024, where colleagues reflected on progress made over the last quarter and looked ahead to an ambitious and exciting 2025. At our Christmas party, we swapped hard hats for helmets and hit the go-karting track to celebrate a fantastic year!

Finally, we were thrilled to welcome a wealth of talent to ACT in November with seven team members joining us! Bringing diverse expertise to our projects are Darren Kelly (Senior Estimator), Joshua Musumeci (Quantity Surveyor), Zac Hale (Carpenter), Tyler Casey (Carpenter) and Daniel Okoro (Labourer). Following ACT tradition, we got to know our new starters better by asking the question “What unique feature would your dream house include?”. From a flow pool to full-height windows overlooking the ocean, a sunken backyard fire pit to an AstroTurf football pitch, we’re excited to find out more and wish them every success as they settle into their new roles.
