ACT
What’s an essential ingredient for delivering great construction? We think it’s passion. ACT’s passion fuels our commitment to excellence. It motivates us to bring a high level of energy and dedication to our projects, enabling us to exceed expectations.
Our Director Alister explains:
It’s been fun featuring some of our diverse passions in the monthly “A Class ACT” blog. We’ve enjoyed colleagues telling us about their favourite objects and sources of inspiration, describing the features they find particularly impressive. For a fascinating insight into the craftsmanship behind surfboards, dry stone walls and the Great Pyramid, take a look here. It will add some inspiration to your coffee break!
We also celebrated passion through our staff ImpACT Award. Congratulations to Project Coordinator Chanelle Evans who receives recognition for her outstanding work, great client communication and positive attitude. Way to go Chanelle!
Turning to project news, some significant milestones were reached across several locations in May. By maintaining good communication levels, ACT’s team has successfully overcome the challenges of increased project scope, resequencing and logistics to keep progress on-track. Here’s a quick walk through a selection:
Staying with the theme of finish lines, a team of sporty colleagues recently completed the Stockholm marathon. All the training they put in, including at our Friday run club, has clearly paid off! They each powered through a whopping 42km (26 miles) in 27°C heat. A huge well done to our Directors Alister and Cameron de Wys, and the rest of the ACT running crew – Tasmyn Harris, Scott Griffiths, Quinn Robinson, Lachlan Walker, Luke Porter and Tom Medland. Collectively, they covered over 336km on foot… roughly equivalent to the distance between London and Paris!
We’ll be covering sporting ACTivity of a different variety next month… stay tuned and as always, thanks for reading!
