June 2024 Round-Up

In June, some of our team swapped construction tools for golf clubs as we hosted ACT’s inaugural Charity Golf Day. The event brought together over 70 attendees, including clients and industry partners, for an afternoon on the green at Hampton Court Palace Golf Club. It was fantastic to witness participants fully commit to the 18-hole challenge! Enhancing the excitement, a variety of on-course contests and prestigious top positions were up for grabs, along with numerous coveted raffle prizes.

As a result, our fundraising efforts at the golf day achieved £3,645, and an additional auction raised £1,000, bringing the total to an impressive £4,645 for the Lighthouse Club Charity. This donation will support the mental, physical and financial wellbeing of construction workers across the UK and Ireland. Thank you once again to everyone involved for their generosity, especially to our sponsors Trunk Floor, Porter Bathroom, Tudor Stonework, Seamers Specialist Joinery, Edsons, SB Joinery and The Showroom Ltd. Away from the golf course, ACT teed-up significant new work this month by securing two tenders. We are delighted to have been chosen and are looking forward to these projects taking shape.

This month’s value is “Ownership,” and we are thrilled to announce that Gary Knowles, Site Manager at our Knightsbridge project, has been awarded our ImpACT Award for embodying this value. Gary’s unwavering dedication and exemplary leadership have set an outstanding standard within the team. He consistently takes responsibility for his actions, ensuring every task is executed with precision and care. Gary leads by example and inspires those around him. Congratulations Gary for creating and owning your achievements!

What an incredible first half of the year it’s been! As we pause to reflect and gear up for an even more exhilarating second half, we wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to our network for all your support. We couldn’t have achieved so many goals, including our charity donation, without you! We are deeply grateful for your partnership. Thank you for being part of ACT’s success.
