ACT
At ACT, enriching the lives of our employees, clients and strategic partners starts with putting people first: creating safe working environments, supporting our teams and building strong, collaborative relationships. Here’s how we brought our mission to life in July.
RoSPA Gold Health & Safety Award
We’re extremely proud to announce that ACT has been awarded the RoSPA Gold Award for our health and safety performance. The RoSPA Awards are the world’s largest health and safety awards programme, recognising those organisations and individuals who have set the highest standards in accident prevention. This achievement recognises the strong safety culture we’ve built across ACT: protecting our people and contractors by carefully controlling risks and striving to continually enhance site practices.
An important way we ensure that safety is always front of mind is by our site teams identifying and raising observations themselves. This proactive approach ensures a shared accountability on site and a drive to continually improve standards from within.
A huge thank you to our Health and Safety Manager, Tim Jeeves, and the wider team across our locations for their dedication and hard work in securing this globally recognised accolade!
Spotlight on Sites: Crafting Excellence in Notting Hill
As one of our projects nears handover, we’re delighted to see a beautifully refurbished home in Notting Hill reaching its final stages. This property provides a brilliant showcase of the high standards that ACT is known for and the talent that goes into our craft.
From internal and external decoration to landscaping and rendering the front facade, every task is being completed with precision. Floors are being carefully unprotected and oiled, each area is being deep cleaned and methodically snagged. From renewing intricate period features to fine tuning the comforts of contemporary living, we’re busy adding the vital finishing touches that help bring this charming family home together and give it its remarkable character (whilst of course ensuring that the unseen details behind the scenes meet the same high standards too).
For us, the sprint to the finish line is never just about completing tasks. It’s an opportunity to create delight for our client, to give our employees a sense of pride in their work, and to strengthen relationships with our strategic partners. By working hand-in-hand with everyone involved, we aim to deliver spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful, together with an enjoyable journey towards project completion.
In the context of Mental Health Awareness Week, consistency means making time for real conversations. Alongside our Mental Health First Aider Tim Reeves, we’re continuing to expand our mental health awareness skills across the team – so that more colleagues are trained to listen, support and create a culture where wellbeing comes first.
Looking Ahead to August
August promises to bring fresh opportunities and plenty to look forward to – from the start of an exciting new project in Holland Park, to welcoming new talent into the team. We’ll also be celebrating our first-ever ACT Sports Day, a chance to enjoy the sunshine together with team games, friendly competition and plenty of fun.
Thank you to our employees, clients and collaborators for making July such an enriching and rewarding month!
