From Wrapping Up to Gearing Up

One of our duplex projects in SW7 successfully completed on time, within budget and to specification. We are extremely proud to have handed over the first apartment completely defect-free, a testament to our team’s craftsmanship and attention to detail. Its twin apartment will swiftly follow, with the final touches being applied to bring this project to completion on schedule for early March.

Meanwhile, just a few miles away in Holland Park, a new site is taking shape. Now in its first month of a 58-week programme, strip-out activities are well underway across all four floors. Scaffolding installation is set to begin soon in preparation for the exciting transformation ahead.

Strengthening Our Pre-Construction Expertise

In February, we built on our pre-construction function by refining our processes and reinforcing dedicated roles within the team. These actions have optimised our ability to proactively plan, anticipate project needs and maintain a forward-thinking, preventative approach – ensuring efficient and cost-effective project delivery.

Health and Safety Achievements

We also celebrated some notable Health and Safety achievements, timing nicely with our Health and Safety Manager Tim Jeeves marking his one year work anniversary at ACT.

Under Tim’s leadership, we have successfully achieved SSIP approval, reinforcing our commitment to industry-leading health and safety standards and best practice. Additionally, one of our Chelsea projects earned an “Excellent” rating from the Considerate Contractors Scheme, commending our professionalism, workforce engagement and strong site presentation. These external endorsements demonstrate ACT’s dedication to maintaining clean, well-organised and collaborative work environments – a standard we uphold across all our sites.

Team Growth and Promotions

February brought well-earned promotions and new talent into ACT. Congratulations to Matthew Reeve, whose role officially transitioned to Operations Director this year – a reflection of his expertise in refining processes, driving operational excellence and championing safety and quality to achieve outstanding results. Anita Dragusha has also earned a very well-deserved promotion to Project Manager within the Special Projects team.

In the commercial team, we’re pleased to have Neil Arscott join us as Senior Quantity Surveyor, bringing significant expertise in delivering high-end projects, while Thomas Parsons steps in as Senior Estimator, ready to add value to our tenders and support future project wins. A warm welcome to all!

Looking Ahead to March

As we head into March, we’re excited for the return of our staff social event, marking Employee Appreciation Day with an evening of fun, camaraderie and karaoke!
