ACT
ACT’s mission is to enrich the construction journey, and delivering on time is integral to how we achieve this. To us, great service means going “above and beyond” to complete projects on schedule whilst exceeding expectations and making the whole experience feel seamless. We understand that achieving the highest level of customer care is just as important as having an incomparable product, because our reputation depends on both. We’re super proud of our team’s dedication to enhancing our delivery, as we saw this month with one project team fully demobilised on the completion date, and a second team working ahead of schedule!
In bidding farewell to the warmer months, we also reflected on what an ACTive season it has been away from our sites and offices! This summer has been dominated by sports of all kinds, and our collaborative spirit and support for one another really shone through. Kudos to the eight ACT marathon runners who each powered through an impressive 42km (26 miles) in 27°C heat in Stockholm, to the “good sports” who demonstrated their precision and manual dexterity in our ACT “Olympics” tournament, and of course to the group of over 70 clients, industry partners and colleagues who came out in full force to make ACT’s inaugural Golf Day such a success, raising a total of £4,645 for the Lighthouse Club Charity. Many thanks to all of you for making the summer of 2024 so memorable – and a final shoutout to our Golf Day sponsors Trunk Floor, Porter Bathroom, Tudor Stonework, Seamers Specialist Joinery, Edsons, SB Joinery, The Showroom Ltd and Action Coach.
Aside from sporting events, of course no summer is complete without firing up the barbecue, and ACT’s Director Alister and family kindly hosted a garden gathering to remember!
With temperatures now shifting away from BBQ weather to cooler days, we’re eagerly looking ahead to our Autumn/Winter events calendar. Our final Friday social for 2024 is just around the corner, and before we know it, Christmas will be upon us (party plans are already underway!)
Speaking of parties – and classic dancefloor tunes in particular – we recently said hello to new recruits whose go-to karaoke tracks include Whitney Houston, ABBA, UB40 and Teddy Swims. A warm welcome to our new starters including Jessica Irwin (Design Manager), Chris Pyett (Senior Project Manager) and Moray Hinkson (Junior Finance Assistant). We’re looking forward to getting to know you (and your voices) better!
As the seasons change, one thing remains constant at ACT: that we continue to work together with a proactive mindset to get the job completed on time, and to an exceptional standard.
Thanks for reading our end-of-summer reflections; see you next month!
