April 2025 Round Up

April marked the start of a new quarter and set the tone for ACT’s continued growth. Our strategic focus was on refining the customer journey, keeping clients at the heart of everything we do. We also prioritised important conversations around wellbeing and stress awareness, staying true to our people-first culture. Read on for a snapshot of what happened where!

 

Spotlight on Sites
There was strong progress across our live projects, from new beginnings to final finishes. As one Holland Park renovation began, just around the corner another moved into its closing stages. It’s always rewarding to see a bespoke home take shape, and this soon-to-be-complete property is no exception. With most rooms now finalised, our attention has turned to the guest WC, where stonework is progressing. Decorative touches including exterior lighting and mirrors are in place, and it’s inspiring to see the different layers of detail work together so elegantly.

In Notting Hill, work is underway throughout the house. The base slab has been poured in the nanny’s room, with reinforcements for the walls to follow. On the upper floors, marble has been installed in the master ensuite, tiling is close to completion in two bathrooms, and fireplace hearths are now in place. Downstairs, the sliding doors are fitted, plastering is progressing through the library and into the drawing room. This project has shown skilful coordination and teamwork across our teams and trades, enabling our craftspeople to do what they do best.

Key Moments That Mattered
Gathering together was a key theme in April. Our Town Hall was a stand-out moment as we reflected on how much we’ve grown and shared what’s ahead for the next quarter. For Stress Awareness Month, we also shone a light on the importance of early communication and team support. Our ‘De-Stress & Stretch’ session encouraged us to unwind both physically and mentally.

And yes – the Easter Bunny stopped by with seasonal treats for our site teams. We’re grateful for all the smiles (and sugar highs) that followed!

From Fresh Starts to Long Service: Celebrating Our People
A warm welcome to Sepideh Heydarzadeh to ACT as our newest Design Manager. Sepideh has led design delivery across notable projects and brings impressive end-to-end expertise. We also celebrated two anniversaries. Laszlo Szabo marked an incredible 12 years with ACT – we truly appreciate his continued dedication and significant contribution. Meanwhile, Harishkumar Lacmane reached his 4 year anniversary with us. Always ready to step up and support colleagues, Harish has proved to be a much-valued team member.

 

Looking Ahead to May
May is all about movement, teammates and mental wellbeing. We’re putting our best foot forward for National Walking Month with the launch of the ACT Walking Challenge – where colleagues will track their steps, stay active, and enjoy a little friendly competition along the way. Also on the horizon is the Clapham Pretty Muddy 5K, where we’ll be raising money for Cancer Research UK, and for Mental Health Awareness Week we’ll be leaning into this year’s theme of community – focusing on the role of social connection, friendships and meaningful conversations that help us thrive.
