Case Study
We were tasked with transforming an 8,000 sq ft super-prime home in Kensington and Chelsea within a strict 14-week timeline. The project involved reconfiguring the lower ground floor, installing a new kitchen, and designing and fitting bespoke joinery throughout nearly every room to suit the new owner’s tastes.
The works also included extensive updates to wall finishes, major lighting reconfigurations, air conditioning installations in the swimming pool and basement areas, alongside landscaping changes to the garden. To achieve the programme, ACT procured all elements in just 16 weeks prior to site commencement.
This project presented a perfect storm of high expectations, a demanding timeline, and a steady flow of additional client requests during the 14 weeks of construction. Meeting the programme required flawless planning and coordination, with no room for delays or errors.
Innovative procurement strategies and early joinery design were essential to meeting these demands. The team managed to overcome significant challenges through precise sequencing and collaboration, ensuring that the tight schedule did not compromise the quality of the work delivered.
The project was delivered on time, handing over precisely on schedule and within the £2.25m budget.
This rapid turnaround was made possible by innovative procurement strategies and a relentless commitment to detail, particularly with the bespoke joinery design, which was critical to the project’s success. The finished home seamlessly combines exquisite craftsmanship with modern functionality, achieving the client’s vision.
