Stone Staircase Project

Proactive problem-solving is essential to successfully navigate the structural and sequencing challenges that custom stone staircases often present. Mid-way through a renovation project in South Kensington, our client requested a cantilevered limestone staircase. This required significant modifications to the surrounding spine walls in order to make this feature possible, together with extensive engineering, stone strength testing and a clever steel pocketing design to mitigate the requirement for thicker walls.
